The CLUB URUGUAYO BRITÁNICO (BRITISH URUGUAYAN CLUB) is a non-profit organization with the purpose of intensifying the bonds of friendship between Uruguay and Great Britain. Its partners are linked to Great Britain by cultural, commercial or family ties. The Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month, at noon, to foster ties of camaraderie among its members, and to be illustrated by the presence of a top-level Guest Speaker. Meetings are for your members and their guests.
The Ambassador of His Britannic Majesty is the Honorary President of the C.U.B.
The Club grants recognition once a year; "The Southern Star Awards" to people and/or institutions that, due to their careers or undertakings, are, in the Club's opinion, deserving of recognition.

The president of the British Uruguayan Club, Daniel Varese, together with the manager Américo Deambrosis, awarded Alphonse Emanuillof-Max his appointment as Honorary Member of the Club.
Today with 93 years of age and more than 30 as a member, an immigrant in 1953 of Bulgarian origin and with studies in the UK, he has had a fruitful journalistic production being a correspondent for the most important agencies and media in the world with innumerable works of political studies. and strategic having also been a speaker at our lunches.
